Champion Household Juicer 2000 PLUS G5-NG-853S Features ; SpecificationsChampion Household Juicer 2000 PLUS G5-NG-853S - SILVER MODEL The Champion Juicer comes inBlack,Silver,Almond andWhiteThe Champion Household 2000+ is a veteran to the juicing market. Champion has been around for over 20 years and we have clients who still rave about their juicer. This is build of a powerful 1/3 horsepower heavy duty GE motor. The large 1.75" diameter feeding tube allows it to take in larger vegetables without cutting them. The floating cutter is designed to separate the juice from the pulp all in one continuous operation with little to no intermittent cleaning. The blades are made of tempered stainless steel that are cast into the cutter for strength and years of use. They never separate or rust! The Champion is also a very versatile machine and can juice all types of fruits and vegetables, but cannot juice wheatgrass. If you are looking for a wheatgrass juicer that can also do fruits and vegetables, 877MyJuicer.com recommends theLexen Electric Healthy Juicer. The Champion household is great for those juicing once to a few times a day. If you are needing more than that, we suggest theChampion Commercial (G5-PG-710). Generally juicing over 12 ounces a day constitutes the upgrade to the commercial juicer.Features:Juices all types of fruits and vegetablesMakes nut butters, frozen fruit sorbets, baby foods, ice creams, sherbets, purees, salsa, muesli and more! All parts are FDA approvedAttachments Included:Tamper / Food PusherInstruction manual with recipesSpecifications: Model2000+Weight26 PoundsDimensionsDepth:17"Width:7"Height:10"Voltage120 V / AC / 60HzFeed Tube1.75" Round Feed TubeMotor540 Watts 1/3 HPExtraction MethodSingle Gear MasticatingWarranty10 Years Motor and Parts (except cutter blade)What is the difference between the Champion Household 2000+ and the Champion Commercial G5-PG710? Customer Reviews

I have had this juicer for the past 8 years, and I do not find it difficult at all to put it together. Actually, it takes me less than 30 seconds. Once you figure out how to squeeze the screen before you slide on the the bit that holds it in place, everything else is super easy. My 67 year old mom can do it, and she has arthritis in her fingers.
For cleaning I take it appart and just rinse out the pulp. Because the pulp is already shredded, there is no problem flushing it all down the drain. I usually juice celery and greens last - they produce longer pieces of fiber that sticks to the blades. Usually I can clean them of the blade assembly just by putting it under running water, sometimes I use my fingers (carefully) for stuck pieces.
I have been juicing mostly carrots, apples, pears, celery, red beets, ginger, papayas, mangoes, parsley, bell peppers. The harder the fruit (or vegetable), the better the juicer works. For papayas and mangoes it needs more fiber to work efectively - I usually mix it up with apples or carrots and run moist pulp couple times through the juicer.
It is also very effective potato grinder. I love potato pancakes, and with plastic bit instead of the screen it grinds well.
The hardest part for me is to find a space in my kitchen. I am in a small bachelor, and the countertop space is at a premium. Also, because of a powerful motor, the machine is heavy. Moving it around is a pain (which is not a problem if you have a stationary space for it).
I give it 4 stars because it does not handle soft fruits the best. Also, I wish the feed chute was larger in diameter. Cutting up fruits and veggies takes most of the prep time. I wish I could juice the whole apple or potato without cutting.

A really heavy duty lifetime machine. Juices vegetables unbelievably well and fruit less effectively. Only problem--extremely difficult to put together and take apart for cleaning--so I end up not using it much unfortunately.
